Forum: GratefulDead Subject: A Vista Question ( Before I screw something else up)

There are some shows I like to keep in my Media player,I dont always burn the show to disc right away ( including Non-Dead items. I've only one CDDVD drive and alot of time its occupied w/ games and other stuff'
After dl'ing a show from say Pirate Bay once that "album"
(that may be the key word)is pulled into the MP libary I can use my Advanced Tag Editor to add info about that track or complete album's title By right clicking on that trac(file) I could include photos and tag artist info.
I've noticed w/ the 'legs I've been converting to wav that once they make my library I'm unable to preform Advanced Tag editing.
I can right click and change song title but thats it. Do I need to burn them' then edit disc then re-rip into my libary to create a virtual album (so to speak)
I hate asking these Question the help online at windows was'nt much help. I know how it works w/ other downloaded files but I'm not getting the same results w these.
A perfect example I thought of is Downloading from LMA when it hits my MP lib its a nice neat package that if I go to my album screen there it is . After a bt.etree DL once I convert to wave and place in lib I can't Tag

OY!

If I understand what you've written, then you need to convert your WAV files to MP3 files.

WAV files don't technically have a proper way to store tag information aka meta data without compromising the rest of the data (or music) contained in the file.

MP3 on the other hand was designed with storage of both music data and meta data in mind.

Another time consuming task to do the conversion to be sure.

Then you've got to go and fill in the tag information.

I don't mess with that stuff too often so I can advise on the proper process to preserver tags when converting from FLAC to MP3.

I have used this program - Tagscanner - http://www.xdlab.ru/en/

to batch edit ID tags in files so you might want to give it a shot.
